As the coronavirus crisis deepens across Northern Ireland, there are some local heroes and groups in our community helping older and more vulnerable people.
Castello Italia in Carrickfergus has been handing out food with the help of David Hilditch MLA to get over 200 meals to those in need.
And Ballyclare Protestant Boys Flute Band is gathering food parcels together for distribution among those who need it.
If you live in the Ballymena BT42, BT43 or BT44 postal areas, you can now leave a bag of non perishable food items on your step marked for ‘Ballymena Foodbank’.
It will be collected by the postal staff and it will be delivered to the foodbank twice a week.
The Hub in Cookstown is also available and volunteers can help with prescription pick-ups etc.
