A petition has been launched to reinstate Londonderry GP Anne McCloskey after she was suspended over an anti-vaccine YouTube video.
Dr Anne McCloskey was suspended from practising following an investigation after the video was recorded and shared this week.
The Health and Social Care Board confirmed the medic’s suspension.
Now a petition has gathered over 10,000 signatures on Change.org.
Northern Ireland’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr Michael McBride, said he was ‘appalled’ by the comments Dr McCloskey made.
“I know it has caused great distress to many members of the public and to health care workers, who know the reality of the COVID threat and the importance of vaccination,” Mr McBride said.
