Police dealt with 28 reports of concern for a person’s safety, a number of which were people who were contemplating suicide last night across the northern region.
They also responded to 16 incidents of domestic abuse, 53 reports of anti social behaviour, 24 assaults and 16 abandoned 999 calls – all potentially victims unable to speak, which police say require investigating.
It was a busy night across Derry City and Strabane, Causeway Coast and Glens, Mid and East Antrim and Antrim and Newtownabbey as police dealt with a total of 320 calls.
They also responded to calls in relation to 15 missing people, some of whom were children, all of whom were vulnerable, and none of whom were deemed low risk.
In addition, police dealt with 32 reports of suspicious people or vehicles.
