Police say they are aware that gatherings may have been planned for today.
They are urging anyone considering attending to put public safety first and stay away.
The Health Protection Regulations, which state that no more than 10 people from different households can gather in a public place, are still in place for people’s protection.
Meanwhile, the Met Police has imposed a 5pm curfew on protesters in London. Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has urged protesters not to come to the city. The official Black Lives Matter protest has been cancelled, but the Met have said that “Black Lives Matter, right-wing and left-wing affiliated groups” are expected to march.
