Health Minister Robin Swann has announced new restrictions on indoor and outdoor gatherings.
The number of people allowed to meet will be reduced as the country fights a rise in the number of positive COVID-19 cases.
Mr Swann announced that groups who meet outdoors will now be limited to 15 – a reduction from 30.
Furthermore, groups meeting indoors will be limited to six people from two households – a decrease from the original 10 from two households.
The Chief Medical Officer Dr Michael McBride has said the seven-day rolling average cases is now at ’40 per day’ which is a ten-fold increase from June
He said the R number is likely at present to be at around 1.3.
