Seven deaths and 863 new cases of COVID-19

Seven further people have died as a result of COVID-19 in Northern Ireland – four within the past 24 hours and three outside this period.

There are 863 new cases.


The figures have just been released by the Department of Health.

Meanwhile, Stormont ministers will meet today, amid growing pressure to consider new restrictions in Northern Ireland.

Health officials say restrictions should be in place for four to six weeks to have the maximum impact. The NI Executive will consider proposals from Health Minister Robin Swann.
