Seven-year-old road victim was Kaitlin McCoubrey-Fullerton

The seven-year-old girl who died following a collision with a car in west Belfast last night has been named as Kaitlin McCoubrey-Fullerton.

It happened at Springhill Avenue on Saturday evening (3 April) just after 6pm.


Superintendent Gillian Kearney said Kaitlin tragically passed away at the scene.

A woman in her 50s arrested by officers investigating the collision at Springhill Avenue has been released on police bail pending further enquiries. Specially trained officers are continuing to provide support to those impacted during this difficult time,” she said.

The Springhill Avenue has reopened following the incident.

Enquiries are continuing and officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may have dash cam or CCTV footage or any other information to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1644 03/04/21.
