Sir Jeffrey Donaldson has been charged with historical sexual offences.
The PSNI has confirmed a 61-year-old man had been charged with ‘non-recent sexual offences.’
A 57-year-old woman has also been charged with aiding and abetting in connection with the allegations.
Sir Jeffrey Donaldson has quit as DUP leader with immediate effect.
Deputy leader Gavin Robinson has assumed leadership of the party.
