People in the Ballymena area are being warned to be cautious following a spate of burglaries, including one which involved an intruder in the house.
Three burglaries were reported this morning (Thursday 27 August) and are believed to have taken occurred overnight in the Slaght Road and Woodcroft Hill areas.
Two of the incidents happened at Slaght Road. In one incident, a garage was broken into and, in the second incident, a conservatory window was opened.
The burglary at a house in the Woodcroft Hill area was reported just after 4am. An intruder was reported inside the house.
At this stage, it’s not clear what, if anything, has been taken.
Detectives in Ballymena are appealing to anyone with information, or who noticed any suspicious activity in either area, to get in touch on 101 quoting reference number 209 of 27/08/20.
They are also encouraging residents to take extra care to keep homes and belongings safe.
They are asking people to close and lock all doors and windows, consider installing an alarm system or security lights and invest in timers for lamps.
