Strictly a great cause when dogs come dancing!

Don your best dress and sparkly shoes and get along to support two Strictly Come Dancing style events, the proceeds of which will go to two fantastic animal causes.

Volunteers will be putting their best feet forward on the dance floor to raise money for the Mid-Antrim Animal Sanctuary and Almost Home Animal Rescue NI.

And it won’t just be humans like Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno or Len taking part in the show, there will also be a special screening of a doggie style Strictly Come Dancing routine – with talented canines.

Trained by Deborah Worsley from the popular Strictly Come Dancing fundraising events, her loyal band of dogs will be displaying their woof-tastic skills via film, and the audience can give them a big round of ‘appaws.’

The first event is on Saturday, March 7 at the Hilton in Templepatrick and the second event is on Saturday, March 14 at the Clayton Hotel in Belfast. All cash raised from the events will go towards Mid-Antrim Animal Sanctuary and Almost Home NI.

The dancing dog segment will be filmed beforehand by Focus AV and screened to audiences in Templepatrick and Belfast.

“We have been practising in Antrim every Sunday and it promises to be so much fun. We have 18 dogs, and 14 of them are rescues, and it’s all for a great cause,” Deborah told South Antrim Vox. “Our volunteer dancers have been working so hard behind the scenes and they would be delighted if everyone would come along and support them.’
