‘Suicide challenge’ The Game targeting kids online

Parents have been warned about a disturbing online challenge, The Game, reportedly targeting children.

The online trend has been called a ‘suicide challenge’.

The so-called 10 ‘rules’ of the game are being shared on apps and socials, including Snapchat, WhatsApp and Facebook.

The children are sent ‘dares’ which can involve self-harm, bullying and even suicide – it’s understood those ‘allowed’ to take part are aged 10 to 15.

Schools in England have contacted parents, warning them to be vigilant.

In 2019, a ‘Momo’ challenge, which frequently popped up on YouTube videos, understood to have originated in South America, was shared among young people.
