A teenager was seen throwing stones at vehicles around the Tesco store at Mayfield in Mallusk yesterday evening.
The incident occurred around 6:30pm.
The youth, believed to be about 14 years old, was wearing a khaki jacket.
He was throwing stones at oncoming traffic.
At least one car was damaged by the actions of this teenager.
Police are hoping to trace the culprit.
