Two teenagers, aged 18 and 16, have been arrested following an alleged assault on another teenager in the North Queen Street area of Belfast on Monday (13 July).
The 17-year-old was walking in the area when he was allegedly assaulted by four males.
The teenager sustained face, arm and back injuries as he was allegedly punched, kicked and struck by metal bars.
It’s alleged that his mobile phone was also stolen.
The teenager, whose injuries are not believed to be serious, was left badly shaken.
Detective Sergeant Moore said the reported incident happened shortly after 1:45am.
“The males, who were arrested on suspicion of robbery have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
“Enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 221 13/07/20.
