Teenagers were drinking and setting fire to bins outside the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Crumlin on Saturday night.
Police have criticised this anti-social behaviour and they’re appealing to parents to speak to their children, if they were in the village on Saturday evening, particularly in the Lurgan Road area.
The PSNI is appealing to young people not to loiter and make nuisances of themselves.
“Whilst we have all been teenagers ourselves and I have vague memories of hanging around trying to find something to do on wet Saturday evening, please do not loiter around Crumlin evangelical church on the Lurgan Road, drinking and setting fire to the bins.
“You are being a danger to yourselves and others,” said a police spokesperson.
And they want parents to be wary of what their children are doing.
“Parents if you have a teenager who was out in the village on Saturday evening would you have a word?
“And for everyone else please report this behaviour on 101 should you see it. There are many reasons why we need an audit trail of anti-social behaviour calls. It does help even in the long run to have this information,” added the spokesperson.
