A property in Lisburn has been damaged in an early-morning arson attack.
A fire was started in the upstairs hallway of the house, which caused damage to the top floor and attic.
The incident at the house at Harmony Hill was reported to police at around 6am this morning (Monday).
Police are investigating reports that thieves made off with two televisions.
No one was at home at the time of the fire.
Police believe entry may have been gained via the rear of the house.
Detective Constable O’Neill said smoke damage was caused to a neighbouring property as a result of the incident, but there were no reports of any injuries.
“Enquiries are continuing but police are treating the incident as arson.
“We are appealing to anyone with any information or who witnessed anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident to contact detectives at 101 quoting reference number 149 24/9/18,” he said.
