Thirteen deaths and 722 new cases of COVID-19

Another 13 people have passed away as a result of COVID-19 in Northern Ireland.

There are 722 new cases.


Meanwhile, Antrim Area Hospital has been stretched to capacity for several days amid the second COVID-19 surge.

Patients have been waiting for beds and staff across the Northern Trust have been isolating.

The chair of the British Medical Association (BMA) in Northern Ireland said there is ‘a real risk’ that health services here could be overwhelmed in the next couple of weeks.
