A man and two women have been arrested following a police pursuit in east Belfast yesterday evening (Saturday 16 November).
Police received a report of a hit and run road traffic collision on the Ravenhill Road just after 4:30pm. It was reported that a silver car collided with another car on the Ravenhill Road. The female driver of the car did not sustain any serious injuries as a result.
A short time later police observed the offending vehicle on the Saintfield Road but it failed to stop.
The vehicle was eventually stopped by police in Dunraven Crescent after it reportedly rammed two police vehicles on a number of occasions. A number of police officers sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the collisions.
Two women, aged 26 and 32, and a 27-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of a number of drugs offences after police discovered a large number of tablets in the car. The 32-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of a number of motoring offences.
All three suspects have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
