Three men have been arrested after a car was stolen in South Belfast.
A set of car keys were stolen from an address at Oakwood Court, along with a silver Mercedes, a ‘Longines’ watch, a ‘Hugo Boss’ watch, a black leather wallet, and a sum of cash.
Detective Sergeant Eric Fairfield said the incident was reported to police just after 11am on Thursday, (20 February). It’s believed the burglary occurred sometime between 11:30pm on Wednesday night (19 February) and 10:30am on Thursday morning.
The car was later located in the Newry area, and three men, aged 17, 19 and 20 were arrested.
The men have been arrested on suspicion of offences, including burglary and aggravated vehicle taking causing damage to the vehicle.
All three men remain in custody.
“I want to appeal to anyone who was in the Oakwood Court area last night or during the early hours of this morning and saw anything out of the ordinary or believes they may have seen this vehicle to call detectives on 101, quoting reference number 538 of 20/02/20.
“Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111,” added Detective Sergeant Eric Fairfield.
