Three men have been charged with drugs offences after cannabis with an estimated street value of £150,000 was seized during searches in east Belfast and Newtownards.
The operation was part of an ongoing investigation into criminality linked to the East Belfast Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF).
They are due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 9 January 2020.
The 44-year-old man has been charged with possession of a Class A controlled drug; possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply and two counts of possession of a Class B controlled drug.
A 48-year-old man has been charged with two counts of possession of a Class B controlled drug and two counts of possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply
A 71-year-old man has been charged with possessing criminal property; possession of a Class B controlled drug and possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply
As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
