Three people have been injured in an attack at a house in west Belfast while young children were present.
Police said they received a report at around 2.30am on Friday that up to six men arrived at the house in Glenbawn Avenue and caused damage to the front door and furniture inside.
Three occupants, two men aged in their 20s and 30s, and a woman aged in her 50s, sustained injuries, none of which are believed to be life threatening at this time. It is also believed that young children were present in the house during the incident.
Detectives are investigating the incident in west Belfast which happened during the early hours of today (Friday 27 December).
The men are believed to have arrived from the Bell Steele Road direction.
Detective Inspector Dane said the suspects are believed to have made off in what was described as a white estate vehicle towards the Stewartstown Road following the incident.
“I want to appeal to anyone who saw what occurred, or who has information which may assist our investigation to get in touch with detectives on the non emergency number 101, quoting reference number 286 of 27/12/19,” added Detective Inspector Dane.
