It’s the return of the Brat Pack as it’s just been announced that the legendary film St Elmo’s Fire may be re-made as a television series.
Fans will be delighted to know that the adaptation of the 1985 film is in the pipeline at US network NBC. The idea is to turn the adventures of the Brat Pack into an hour-long drama.
The potential series will be a modern take on the Joel Schumacher-directed film that showcased close friends struggling with careers and the responsibilities of adulthood.
Josh Berman is said to be penning the script while Chris King will be the executive producer for the show.
The original film starred Emilio Estevez, Rob Lowe, Andrew McCarthy, Demi Moore, Judd Nelson, Ally Sheedy and Mare Winningham.
The cast members of the firm alongside 1985’s The Breakfast Club, were called ‘The Brat Pack’ for their work on the coming-of-age movies. The members of the group included Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, Rob Lowe, Andrew McCarthy, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald and Ally Sheedy.
