A man in his 40s is in hospital after having sustained serious injuries to his head and face following an assault outside a hotel in Banbridge.
The incident happened on the Lurgan Road over the weekend.
Police say a fight, involving a group of people, took place outside hotel premises sometime late Saturday night (17 August) into the early hours of Sunday morning (18 August).
Sergeant Maguire said enquiries are continuing and police are appealing to anyone with information that could assist the investigation to contact 101, quoting reference number 2073 of 17/08/19.
Alternatively, information can be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
