Twenty two deaths and 669 new cases of COVID-19

Twenty two further people have died as a result of COVID-19 in Northern Ireland.

There are 669 new cases.


Meanwhile, Johnson & Johnson has announced details of its single-dose COVID-19 vaccine which is expected to cost around £7 per dose.

And EU drug regulators have announced AstraZeneca’s vaccine can be administered to adults in all age groups. The vaccine showed an efficacy of roughly 60% in trials, according to the European Medicines Agency (EMA). The news comes after questions were asked in Germany in relation to the effectiveness of the vaccine in older people. It has been developed with Oxford University.
