A 21-year-old woman and 33-year-old man were arrested in the Newtownabbey area last night (Saturday) on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
It follows an incident at Burney’s Mews in Glengormley on Friday evening (January 11).
They are currently in police custody at this time.
A 25-year-old man sustained lacerations to his head and a suspected fractured wrist when he was allegedly assaulted by two men and a woman who forced their way into his flat around 7.30pm. It’s believed the suspects made off in a red Ford Focus car following the incident.
Detective Sergeant Coulter is continuing to appeal for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact detectives in Antrim on 101 quoting reference 1114 11/01/19.
Detectives are particularly keen to speak with anyone who may have seen a red Ford Focus car in the Burney’s Mews area on Friday evening.
