Two people have been arrested by detectives from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team investigating the murder of Bangor woman Lisa Dorrian.
Detective Superintendent Jason Murphy, who is leading the investigation, said a 49-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were arrested this morning in the Newtownards area on suspicion of murder.
They have been taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning.
Lisa, a shop assistant, disappeared following a party at a caravan site in 2005. Her body has never been found.
Last year, Lisa’s sister made an appeal on BBC’s Crimewatch.
Joanne Dorrian said the family had endured ’13 years of torture’.
This week, the PSNI announced it was to carry out fresh searches of the caravan park in Ballyhalbert, where Lisa was last seen alive.
Officers also search a disused airfield behind the caravan park.
