Two cases of coronavirus which originated in Wuhan in China have been confirmed in England.
Two people from the same family have tested positive for the virus according to the chief medical officer for England.
They are being treated in Newcastle.
Over 200 people in China have died from coronavirus, with almost 100 cases of the virus confirmed in another 18 countries.
Wuhan is at the centre of the outbreak of the coronavirus, which is believed to have been passed from animals at a wet market into humans.
Many airlines have suspended flights to China, while Mongolia and Russia have closed their borders to prevent infection.
Italy and Israel on Thursday cancelled all flights into China.
A global emergency has been declared by the World Health Organisation, as the outbreak continues to spread outside mainland China.
“The main reason for this declaration is not what is happening in China but what is happening in other countries,” said WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
The concern is that it could spread to countries with poor healthcare.
Meanwhile, the US has told its citizens not to travel to China.
Over 80 people from the UK are currently flying back to the UK from Wuhan.
The flight is due to land at RAF Brize Norton just after 1pm.
The passengers will then be taken to a hospital in the Wirral and quarantined for two weeks.
