Damage was caused to a ground floor room at a vacant property in an arson attack in east Belfast.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident at the property on the Newtownards Road overnight.
The blaze broke out at the building near the junction of North Road shortly after midnight.
The fire was extinguished by firefighters. Damage was caused to a ground floor room as a result of the fire.
Police say a car was heard speeding away from the scene around the time of the incident.
Inspector Loughlin is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who has any information that can assist with the investigation to contact officers at Strandtown Police Station on 101, quoting reference 6 23/12/19.
