‘Vaccine passports’ will not be required in Northern Ireland’s hospitality settings from next Wednesday (Jan 26).
They will however still be needed for nightclubs.
The news comes following a meeting of the NI Executive during which a decision was taken to ease some COVID-19 restrictions. Pubs and cinemas will also not require ‘vaccine passports’.
During the meeting at Stormont, ministers indicated that from Friday (January 21), the rule of six people per table, and exclusive table service, will be ditched.
The limit on the number of households meeting in a domestic setting will also be removed.
Nightclubs are due to reopen next Wednesday (January 26).
