The van driver who died following a three vehicle collision on the Trewmount Road in Moy last night (Wednesday 18 December) was Noel Sweeney.
Noel was 57 and from the Coalisland area.
The collision involving a fallen tree happened at about 8pm on Wednesday.
Several people were injured in the crash, including two passengers who were travelling in the van. They were treated at the scene, but Mr Sweeney later died in hospital.
Some of the occupants of the other vehicles, a Mitsubishi Shogan and a Volkswagen Polo, also sustained injuries but they are not thought to be life-threatening, according to police.
The Trewmount Road remains closed and diversions are in place.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
Inspector Johnstone said: “I would appeal to anyone who was travelling on the Trewmount Road, either prior to or after the collision, or anyone who witnessed it or captured it on their dashcam, to get in touch with us by calling the non emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1904 of 18/12/189.”
