What is Wordle and why’s everyone talking about it?

You may have heard people talking about Wordle? But what’s it all about and why is it so popular?

If you’re working from home, you may be looking for something cool to entertain you during a break, and this simple, no-frills game Wordle is the solution.

It’s a web-based puzzle that requires you to guess a new five-letter word every day. However, you only have six tries, and the word is the same for everyone. When you key in a word, each square will turn grey, green or yellow depending upon accuracy. Green of course means you have chosen the correct letter. Yellow means the letter is in the word but not in the correct position.

Once completed puzzle-players can share their own solution with the grey, green, and yellow squared patterns on social media including Twitter, which shows how they performed that day.

It’s addictive and you can play here.
