Heartthrob Peter Andre, yes you read that right, is appearing at Glenarm Castle for DalFest.
It all takes place on the July Bank Holiday weekend – 13 and 14 July. There are some fantastic acts this year to include in addition to Peter Andre.
Fleur East, Atomic Kitten, Samantha Harvey, D:Ream, East 17, Republica, Phats and Small and children will not be disappointed either as the official Chase and Marshall from Paw Patrol will be making a welcome return. They will join with the stars of CBBC’s Big Friday Wind Up, Sam and Mark.
Kids under 12 go free and parking is free.

Roddy Doyle is in conversation with Glenn Patterson on Sunday, June 16 at the Crescent Arts Centre. Roddy’s new book, Charlie Savage tells the story of a middle-aged Dubliner with an indefatigable wife, an exasperated daughter and a drinking buddy who’s realised that he’s been a woman all along.
Glenn Patterson is a novelist who has penned eight novels, the most recent of which, The Mill for Grinding Old People Young, was the 2012 Once City One Book choice for Belfast. He is the co-writer of Good Vibrations, an award-winning movie based on the life of Belfast punk legend Terri Hooley.

Neil Hannon, one of the country’s foremost songwriters, releases a new Divine Comedy album ‘Office Politics’ on June 7. It’s the follow-up to the top ten 2016 album ‘Foreverland’. The Divine Comedy will play Belfast’s Ulster Hall on Monday, October 7 – with tickets on sale from 9am on Friday (April 12).
In other gig news Stevie Wonder has announced ‘The Stevie Wonder Song Party: A Celebration of Life, Love and Music’, in concert at 3Arena July, 9. Stevie Wonder is one of the most celebrated figures in popular music who, at the age of 12, was the youngest recording artist to have achieved a No 1 single with ‘Fingertips, Part 2.’
To date he has had 49 Top Forty singles, 32 No 1 singles and worldwide sales of over 100 million units. Stevie has won 25 Grammy Awards, the prestigious Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, a Golden Globe and an Academy Award. Tickets from €99.50 including booking and facility fees go on sale Friday (April 12) at 9am.

The Irish Vegan Festival is on Sunday, April 14 from 10:30am to 5pm.
It’s at the Europa Hotel and always draws huge crowds.
There will also be a festival on June 8 in Derry-Londonderry at The Everglades Hotel.
The Festival is organised by Farplace Animal Rescue, a UK animal rescue charity which helps specialist cases like FIV+. All the profits from the festival will go directly to the animals.
There is an additional festival on 6 October if you can’t make it this one.
