A 90-year-old woman from Enniskillen has become the first person in the world to receive the Pfizer/BioNTech Covid vaccine outside trials.
Today marks the start of the UK’s vaccination programme.
Mrs Keenan has lived in Coventry for around 60 years.
She was given the vaccine by the nurse May Parsons at the University Hospital at 6.31am.
She said: “My advice to anyone offered the vaccine is to take it – if I can have it at 90 then you can have it too!”
And Sister Joanna Sloan the first person in Northern Ireland to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
