A 14-year-old youth has been charged with a number of offences including robbery, attempted robbery, possession of a knife and possession of a firearm.
The charges arise out of a number of incidents in the Donegall Place and Library Street areas of Belfast city centre yesterday morning (Sunday).
He is expected to appear at Belfast Youth court on 7 September.
As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
A 17-year-old who was also arrested remains in custody at present.
