Youths have been causing upset to residents by letting off fireworks in Ballyclare.
Last year police recovered fireworks which had been brought in from China during a house search. The fireworks which were in a dangerous condition were sold to children in one area of Newtownabbey.
The latest incidents have prompted police to ask people to report any illegal sellers in the area.
“You might think we are a bit early with this post but not if you live in the Ballyclare area, reason being we are now starting to get reports of anti social behaviour involving youths letting off fireworks in built up areas of the town,” said a police spokesperson.
Police say with Hallowe’en approaching fast, they are appealing to people to report the sale of these unregulated dangerous items to youths.
Contact the Neighbourhood Patrol Units in either Newtownabbey or Antrim if anyone has any information in relation to illegal supply.
