Salons can open from July 6

Beauty salons, hair and nail salons and dentists can re-open next month.

The First and Deputy First Ministers Arlene Foster and Michelle O’Neill announced that personal services can return from July 6, as long as the R-rate stays low.

Non-aerosol generating dental treatment may also be carried out from the end of the month, depending on other factors.

Clear guidance on a return of pupils to school will be given soon.

Places of worship have been told they can provisionally re-open from 29 June.

So far, they have only been allowed to open for individual prayer. Drive-in services have been held over the past few weeks at many churches.
