COVID-19: one death and three new cases

Another life has been lost to COVID-19 in Northern Ireland.

There are three new cases.

The chief medical officers of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have reviewed a recommendation by the Joint Biosecurity Centre and agreed to lower the UK’s alert level to three.

This means the virus is in ‘general circulation’ but transmission is no longer ‘high or rising exponentially.’ Further easing of lockdown restrictions are now expected.
