The PSNI has temporarily closed some accommodation within the Seapark complex in Carrickfergus due to safety concerns over roofing.
The complex houses transport services, Murder Archive, Forensic Services NI and equipment stores.
It is not an operational station open to the public.
Mark McNaughten, Temporary Director of Finance and Support Services and Human Resources for the PSNI said a decision was made to close some areas.
“Following a recent survey by structural engineers examining roofing across a number of ageing buildings on the site, a decision was taken to proactively close some areas within the Seapark Complex as a precautionary health and safety measure,” he said.
Staff will be moved to other locations within the police estate while further investigations and planning for remedial work to address the roofing issue is undertaken.
“Business continuity plans will ensure that the impact on service delivery is minimised.
“Other teams located in the newer accommodation blocks within the complex will continue to operate on the site as normal,” Mr McNaughten added.
