Gardaí have seized 32 dogs that are understood to have been stolen.
The seizure followed searches in Swords in Dublin yesterday afternoon (Saturday).
The dogs are believed to be worth over €120,000.
Officers had received a call regarding ‘unusual activity’ in Swords, and after enquiring further, Gardaí sought a Section 48 search warrant.
A total of 32 dogs were seized from a property, including three Chihuahuas, four Pugs, a Jack Russell and 24 Dachshunds.
All the dogs have been taken to a pound, where they are currently being cared for.
The owners of the dogs will be identified via their microchips.
