A baby bird has been rescued from the raging Primark fire by a Good Samaritan from Debbie Doolittle’s wildlife.
The bird, which had been abandoned by its family, was on the balcony of Ann Summers in the city centre – just opposite Primark.
“When I arrived to get him there was an obvious danger! I raced out onto the balcony to get it as he was fully exposed to the smoke and as he can’t fly would have sadly choked to death as he had no shelter,” said Debbie.
“Thankfully we got him safe before being asked to evacuate the building. The things you have to do! Just glad he’s safe…if a little smelly!” added Debbie.
