A red Renault Megane was stolen from outside the Park Centre in West Belfast.
The incident happened yesterday evening (Wednesday).
Police say the car was detected being driven erratically in the Lower Falls area around Conway Street.
They say the car was later located, after an attempt was made to set it alight in Ross Street.
Police are investing the incident and they are asking anyone with any information that could assist them with their enquires to contact NPT in Grosvenor Road. Incident 997 23.1.19.
