Police are continuing to appeal to parents of young people in Carrickfergus to be aware of where their children are and what they are doing each weekend.
By 5pm last night, police had to divert resources from dealing with crime to chasing young people causing annoyance and drinking alcohol around the town.
It’s not the first time the PSNI has appealed for parents to take responsibility for their children.
In December, a fast food outlet in Carrickfergus had to close due to a crowds of youths being in the area. And in recent weeks, crowds continue to drink and use anti-social behaviour.
In relation to this latest incident, a PSNI spokesperson said: “Many of us are parents but we don’t ask you to look after our kids so don’t be shirking your responsibilities and wasting our time!”
