Children in Montreal in Canada were terrified after the horror film The Curse Of La Llorona began playing on the big screen, instead of Pikachu.
The film opens with an intense scene involving a mother drowning her child.
The incident happened at the Guzzo Marche Central cinema in Montreal.
A collection of trailers came on prior to the film which is when families believed an error had occurred. The cinema-goers were shown trailers for Annabelle Comes Home, a film about a possessed doll – and the remake of Child’s Play.
Ryan George, who works for Screen Rant tweeted his shock from the cinema.
