A Chinese engineering company is in talks to buy Ballymena based bus manufacturer Wrightbus.
It’s understood to be for around £50m.

One of China’s biggest engineering companies Weichai is said to be a forerunner for the deal.
Weichai is part of state-owned conglomerate Shandong Heavy Industry.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Weichai is the only bidder to make an offer.
Wrightbus is a 73-year-old company employing about 1,400 people in Ballymena. Still family owned, it was the builder of 1,000 Routemaster buses ordered when Boris Johnson was the mayor of London.
Wrightbus confirmed last month that it hoped a new investor would remedy the cashflow issues.
