A man armed with a knife robbed a shop of cigarettes and cash in north Belfast on Thursday night.
It happened on the Oldpark Road at around 8pm.
Detectives in north Belfast are appealing for information.
Detective Sergeant Gardiner said police received a report that a man had entered the business at 8pm carrying a knife.
He said the suspect made off with a sum of money and a quantity of cigarettes, in the direction of Clifton Courtyard.
He is described as wearing dark clothing and was carrying a backpack and had a dark snood covering his face.
A 25-year-old man has since been arrested.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time the incident took place or may have dash cam footage which can assist our investigation to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference number 1534 03/03/22,” he said.
