Cold callers and rogue traders are continuing to target people via phone, email and door to door.
Police in L district (Antrim and Newtownabbey) are asking anyone who sees any suspicious behaviour in the area to contact them.
They are reminding householders to challenge any callers to the house and always ask for ID – any genuine people will be happy to show their ID.
“Any legitimate street collector will have a permit from us authorising them to do so. If challenged they must be able to present it to you. Most carry passes on behalf of the charity they are collecting for,” said a police spokesperson.

“We have a number of resources that can help combat cold calling.
“Keep an eye on your elderly neighbours and family members. Have a chat with them. Offer them crime prevention advice and help them protect their home, money and possessions.
“If you think something is suspicious, it probably is.
“Contact us on 101 or 999 if it’s an emergency,” added a spokesperson.
