Signs of drug use as well as used condoms are being left behind in Crumlin.
Police say there has been an increase in anti-social behaviour in the village.
And they say tyre marks are evidence of ‘boy racers’ using the area.
“Crumlin residents will be aware of the beautiful benches on the Bay Road (Clem and Malachy). Unfortunately there has been an increase in anti-social behaviour at these locations, notably from a number of our newly qualified ‘boy racer’ drivers in the village,” said a police spokesperson.
“There has been evidence of drug use, used condoms and tyre marks on the Bay Road and other roads in the village,” added police.
And ‘boy racers’ are being warned that their illegal activities can result in a lost licence.
“Please be aware that six penalty points is the limit for a restricted driver before they lose their licence. You have been warned!” added the police spokesperson.
Anti-social behaviour has been an on-going problem in Crumlin for some time.
Police officers have repeatedly called on parents to speak to their teenage children following a number of anti-social behaviour incidents.
