Four men aged 58, 56, 40 and 31 arrested following a report of an assault at the Whinsmoor Park area of Broughshane on Saturday (26 September), have all been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
And a 24-year-old man has been charged with common assault, two counts of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and possession of a Class B Controlled drug.
He is due to appear at Ballymena Magistrates Court today (Monday 28 September) in connection with the incident. As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
