The first episode of Season Eight which is the final season of Game of Thrones is due to air at 2am tomorrow morning (Monday, April 15).
It will settle the war over the Iron Thrones and for the fate of humanity itself, once and for all.
Kit Harington has promised that the final season of the HBO series will be “bigger than any other season – by a long way”.
And the star, who has played Jon Snow since the series began in 2011, says being a part of Game Of Thrones has been ‘a rollercoaster’ for the entire cast.
With just hours to go until fans get to see the first episode of season eight, there is a lot of speculation about how the show will end.
Jacob Anderson, who stars as Grey Worm, and his Thrones co-star Joe Dempsie, who plays Gendry, appeared on Sunday Brunch this morning to talk about the finale.
As they were asked about the show and the number of deaths, Jacob said no one could feel safe but hinted his character could be in trouble.
Game Of Thrones has been a huge asset to Northern Ireland as both local and international tourists flock to see the filming locations. Of course it has been filmed all over the world, with stints in Croatia, Spain, Morocco, Iceland and Malta. Production has taken place in Belfast’s Titanic Studios.

“Game of Thrones changed everything,” said Richard Williams, chief executive of Northern Ireland Screen, which promotes film and television production in the country. “We are relevant – it is basically night and day.”
The country has also built a tourism economy thanks to the show, especially on the Antrim coast, which provided much of the outdoor scenery. This stretch of land and the scenic Causeway Coastal Route is now popular with Throne pilgrims. The Castle Ward estate, near Strangford is the site of the original Winterfell, and it too has pulled in the crowds.
The television adaptation of George RR Martin’s fantasy novels has been a phenomenon around the world.
The trailer for this upcoming eighth series attracted 81 million viewers across YouTube, Facebook and Twitter in the 24 hours after its release, and analysts have valued the franchise at €887m.
