A suspicious object which sparked a security alert in Glengormley has been declared an elaborate hoax.
The security alert on the Antrim Road is now over.
The alert began on Saturday evening.
Inspector Patton said: “At around 6:40pm, officers attended a report of a suspicious object in the area. ATO were tasked to the scene and the object was declared an elaborate hoax.”
The Antrim Road ihas now reopened following the incident.
