Have you seen John Paul Smyth (known as JP) from Newry who is 15?
Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of the missing teenager.
They are working with Community Rescue and Search to try to locate JP.
JP was last seen in Warrenpoint town centre at approximately 6.15pm on New Year’s Eve (Tuesday 31 December) and police are appealing for anyone who has seen him since then to get in contact.
He is described as being tall and of a slim build with brown eyes and short brown hair. When last seen, JP was wearing a black puffa style jacket, beige tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.
Inspector Frances McCullough said police are working with Community Rescue and Search in a bid to locate JP and added that they will exhaust every avenue in order to bring him home safely.
Police are also asking drivers who may have been in Warrenpoint town centre or who were travelling along the dual carriageway leaving Warrenpoint in the direction of Newry during the early hours of Wednesday 1 January from 3am-4am and who have dash cam footage to please contact police on 101.
Police believe some drivers with dash cams in their vehicle may have footage which could potentially assist them with their inquiries into the missing teenager.
“If anyone has any information about his current whereabouts or who thinks they may have seen him in the last few days please contact police on 101 quoting reference 1876 31/12/19,” added the Inspector.
